Terms of Service

These Terms govern the Maison website at maisonre.app and the Maison iPhone app (the Service). "Maison," "we," and "us" refer to the operator providing that service; Maison is the service name. Contact hello@maisonre.app for questions or notices. By selecting the control to accept these Terms, you agree to the version shown to you. We record the version and time of acceptance separately from your analysis permission. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, and the Disclaimer explains the limits of our analysis. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. If acting for an organization, you must have authority to bind it.

Maison is currently offered only to United States residents who are at least 18 years old. By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet these requirements, have the legal capacity to enter into contracts, and are not barred from receiving services under applicable law. The Service is intended for analysis of U.S. properties.

Maison is a real estate deal analysis tool that uses artificial intelligence to provide informational estimates including property values, renovation costs, investment scenarios, and deal recommendations. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" for informational and educational purposes only. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Maison uses language models, photo analysis, and calculations to produce estimates and scenarios. Outputs can be incomplete, outdated, biased, or incorrect, including invented facts or sources. They are not a licensed appraisal, broker's price opinion, inspection, financing approval, or guarantee of profit. Review the inputs, assumptions, source dates, and calculations with qualified professionals before acting. Maison does not decide whether a person qualifies for housing, credit, employment, or insurance. Do not use it to screen people or make discriminatory decisions. You may ask how an analysis was produced or report an error at hello@maisonre.app.

The Service does not provide financial, legal, tax, investment, or appraisal advice. Maison is not a licensed real estate broker, financial advisor, attorney, tax professional, certified appraiser, or investment adviser. Output from Maison is for informational purposes only. You should consult with qualified licensed professionals before making any real estate investment, loan, tax, or legal decision.

Maison uses information you provide, RentCast property and listing data, and AI services from Anthropic and OpenAI. Where web research is available, cited pages remain independent third-party sources. A supported listing link does not imply endorsement, affiliation, MLS membership, or permission to reuse every item on that page. Listing and asking prices are not verified completed-sale prices unless explicitly identified and supported as such. Coverage, source dates, property condition, renovation costs, financing, taxes, insurance, and market conditions can vary. Verify material facts and obtain appropriate inspections and professional estimates. Third-party services and data may change or become unavailable.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during signup, keep it current, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access. You are responsible for all activities under your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show signs of unauthorized access, fraud, or security risk.

You agree not to: (a) Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws; (b) Use Maison to engage in housing discrimination or any activity that violates the Fair Housing Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, or any other anti-discrimination law; (c) Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or underlying algorithms; (d) Use automated tools to scrape, copy, harvest, or systematically extract content; (e) Submit content that infringes intellectual property rights of others; (f) Share your account credentials with third parties; (g) Use the Service to make discriminatory decisions about lending, housing, insurance, or employment; (h) Misrepresent Maison output as a licensed appraisal, broker's price opinion, or other regulated valuation product.

Maison offers a free plan and optional monthly subscriptions. The current plan price and billing period are displayed on the Plans page and confirmed at checkout with applicable taxes and the total due. Pro includes 50 analyses per month. Operator includes unlimited monthly analyses subject to the disclosed 15-per-hour fair-use limit. Other plan limits and included features appear on the Plans page. Unused monthly analysis allowances do not accumulate. Deleting an account ends its access; withdrawing AI permission restricts new AI requests. Neither action automatically creates a refund. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. By confirming checkout, you authorize the disclosed recurring charges. Website subscriptions are processed by Stripe: use Settings/Manage subscription to cancel before renewal. Cancellation normally preserves access through the paid period; deleting the account removes access and cancels website subscriptions. If you cannot access cancellation, contact hello@maisonre.app. Apple subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account and managed through Apple's subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting Maison or withdrawing AI permission does not cancel Apple billing. Restore purchases requires the Maison account used for the original purchase. Website subscribers should sign in with that same Maison account to use their entitlement on iPhone. Avoid purchasing overlapping subscriptions. For an initial website subscription, request a full refund at hello@maisonre.app within 7 days if you have not used the paid service during that period. Otherwise charges are non-refundable except where required by law. Apple handles refunds for Apple purchases under Apple's policies; the website refund offer does not apply to Apple purchases. Failed payments can suspend paid access. Price changes apply prospectively with at least 30 days' notice for website subscriptions and any notice or consent required by law or Apple. No provision limits mandatory cancellation or refund rights.

Maison and its licensors retain their rights in the software, design, and service materials. You retain rights you have in your submitted content. You grant Maison and its service providers a non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to deliver the features you request, secure the service, and meet legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership or authorize selling your personal information. You must have permission to submit photos, listing material, and other content; avoid including faces in property-analysis uploads, identity documents, access codes, or unrelated personal information. An optional Community profile photo is a separate publication choice. AI outputs may not be unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection. Sharing your reports does not grant permission to redistribute restricted third-party datasets. Report rights concerns to hello@maisonre.app with the material, its location, and your contact details.

You may stop using Maison at any time. Website Settings includes Delete account; the iPhone app offers deletion in its account/privacy settings. Accounts linked to Sign in with Apple must confirm their Apple identity in the iPhone app before deletion. If you cannot use these controls, contact hello@maisonre.app for help or to request deletion. We verify requests to protect the account owner. Completed deletion removes the account and associated application records from the live service; limited retained records and backup copies are described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion is permanent, ends account access, and cancels website subscriptions. It does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel Apple billing separately. We may restrict or end access for material violations, fraud, unlawful use, or security risks, with notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue where appropriate and safe. Statutory rights and obligations survive termination.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAISON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAISON AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES ON REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100, OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MAISON IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. These limitations do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability or consumer remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for third-party claims resulting from your unlawful use, intentional misconduct, or submission of material that violates another person's rights. This obligation does not cover claims caused by Maison's own wrongdoing or impose obligations that consumer law prohibits. We will notify you of a covered claim and reasonably cooperate; neither party may settle it in a way that admits fault or imposes obligations on the other without that party's consent.

California law governs these Terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. Please contact hello@maisonre.app so we can try to resolve a concern informally; this does not prevent timely legal action. Courts with competent jurisdiction will resolve disputes, and mandatory consumer venue rules remain available. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive access to small-claims court, public injunctive relief, or rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-service notice at least 14 days before taking effect for existing accounts. The notice will identify the proposed version and effective date. We request affirmative acceptance when introducing the new version; publication alone does not establish that you accepted it. Changes do not retroactively authorize new uses of personal information or remove accrued rights. We will obtain consent where required. You may stop using the service and cancel renewal if you do not accept a proposed change.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Maison.
